Story overview
Mocked by the court for being too tall and strong, Mara Ashford is chosen as the Alpha King’s mate and sent to a ruined palace wing as a shield against rival packs. There, she finds unexpected companionship with the lonely king. But when battle-hardened Gamma Garrett returns, their forbidden mate bond ignites. Their love promises freedom—until war takes Garrett away, forcing Mara to rise from rejected outsider to legendary queen.
